Woman outside playing violin

Holy Cross is a very musical congregation. We appreciate good music from a wide range of styles: traditional, baroque, contemporary, folk, gospel and compositions by our own members. Music adds to our sense of belonging – it inspires us and unites us in spirit and in expression of worship. Some sing, some listen and enjoy.

The Good Faith combined choir is a joint endeavour with St Margaret’s Uniting Church, with singers from both congregations. The choir sings a broad repertoire of songs from Renaissance to gospel. Our choir sings regularly at combined church services, for special occasions and at concerts for the wider community. We have about 20-25 members and welcome interested newcomers.

Instrumentalists join us occasionally to enhance our services.

Under the new rector’s direction, the parish’s younger musicians plan to start playing and singing together regularly as a group this year.
