The Eucharist (also called Holy Communion or The Lord’s Supper) centres on Scripture, prayer, thanksgiving and the sharing of bread and wine, following early Christian worship patterns. In the service:
We gather as the church, the body of Christ
We listen to God’s word
We remember the meal Jesus shared with his disciples on the night before he died, give thanks over bread and wine, and receive the sacrament of Christ's Body and Blood.
We are sent out to serve God’s world
You are always welcome at Holy Cross.
