The Baptism of our Lord

The baptism of Jesus, as recorded in the Gospels, is a foundational moment in Christian faith. For Anglicans, the baptism of Jesus shapes our understanding of our own baptismal calling. In the baptismal covenant, we are commissioned to continue Christ’s ministry: to resist evil, seek justice, and live lives shaped by love and service.
